CONSUMER LAW GROUP has filed a Canadian class action lawsuit against Beiersdorf on behalf of individuals who have purchased the product Nivea My Silhouette Slimming & Reshaping Gel-Cream.
The class action involves the deceptive, misleading, false, and unfair advertising of Nivea My Silhouette Slimming & Reshaping Gel-Cream as a product whose regular use will result in a significant reduction in body size, particularly of the thighs, hips, waist and stomach. In truth and in fact, there is no evidence to support these claims.
As a result, consumers were induced into purchasing My Silhouette under the premise that it would cause them to lose weight, a false and misleading representation, thereby vitiating their consent and entitling them to claim a refund for the purchase price of the product.
